'Tree Of Life' can best be described as a Fane acoustic album.

Fane's roots in traditional music run deep, and his love of the likes of Bert Jansch and American Primitive guitarists John Fahey and Daniel Bachman has bloomed in recent times. One day, in a moment of divine inspiration, he asked himself the question, "Could I sit down and play any of my music on an acoustic guitar?"

Fane has always considered himself a songwriter, storyteller and Gnostic augur above a producer and is often adapting and rearranging his creations, and Tree Of Life sees songs from his archives reimagined as solo guitar/banjo and voice performances. He has, in a sense, created a world of Avalon Primitive music.
